Hi all-
I'm hoping someone can help me identify the lathe I recently purchased. It had been restored to some extent sometime in the past, and the previous owner provided a couple of new parts (belt covers, etc.).
I've gone through everything and repainted many of the parts, but this is all new to me. I actually made my first chips the other day, so I'm getting excited about using it.
So far, I have not been able to identify it, in order to purchase some upgrades like a QC tool post. It does have a Craftsman badge on the headstock, but no other plate with numbers. What really baffles me as that it has a very new looking serial number plate on the tailstock end, that is completely blank, and has clearly always been that way.
This is a 12 inch swing with a bed length of about 35 inches.
Here are a few things that may help with the ID.
Any help is very much appreciated. Pics to follow:

Here are a few things that may help with the ID.
- The saddle and apron is all one casting.
- There are no way wipers on the saddle (not any mounting holes for them).
- Headstock bearings have bolt down caps.
- Tailstock has the little oil dipper hole.
- Forward/reverse lever is different than I've seen, and has no detents to lock in position.
- Compound tool post slide has bolt heads tucked underneath the slide.
- Number on the bed is L6- 2152 followed by what I think is an “S”.
