Need some help here please from those with experience in a similar situation to mine.

I live up north and we of course have cold winters with almost all nights and most days below freezing. My compressor is outside at the back of my shop and I would like to install a heated auto drain but am not finding anything that is heated.

Can anyone steer me to a product that will fit my situation.

Thanks!

I have never seen such a thing. Could you use a regular automatic drain and wrap it with a pipe warmer strip, the kind to keep a pipe from freezing? Actually, if you put a pipe on the outlet of the valve you could probably just heat the pipe which would then heat the valve by thermal conduction?

Can get RV tank heater blanket that stick onto the tank

If the auto drain freezes then the moisture in the tank will probably freeze as well. . I would think wrapping the receiver in insulation and a heating blanket wrap could help eliminate tank freezing, along with wrapping the drain.

Thanks for the input folks. I think the heat tape idea with a regular auto valve will be enough. Don’t know why I didn’t think about the heat tape.
