I highly recommend these books, I think there's a series of 3. Lots of entertaining shop stories from around the world.
Through out the book it also references other books. Strike while the iron is hot is one I want to buy.
If you enjoy shop work and reading, you should look into these books. I bought mine way back in 1991.

I bought all three also in the 90's. I still enjoy leafing through them for ideas and information. They've certainly been worth the (reasonable) price. Guy Lautard folded up shop somewhat abruptly a couple decades ago though, and now the copies available cost a small fortune - perhaps not worth it. I looked for a couple of his other books (out of print even when he was still promising a TMBR #4) and have never found any of them.

I have all three, they're okay, some useful info and interesting project ideas, but nothing miraculous. I think these books get hyped up a lot, probably because there isn't much else in the way of "casual" reading on this subject.

oh wait, is this really new and USD$44 for 5 copies?

Nope. It it NOT!

It is their clumsy attempt to say they have 5 copies in stock.......
