Hi everyone, new to the site and trying to get some help restoring an old Harrison L5a. Having stripped it all down to give a thorough clean. I was really pleased with the condition with very little wear anywhere. Unfortunately when I stripped down the Norton box I think I have found out why it has had so little use. Looks as though someone has tried to change speeds with it running. The middle shaft with the Christmas tree cluster of gears has stripped part of its splines, and is actually bent. Fortunately apart from the bushes there doesn't appear to be any other damage. So I am trying to find the middle shaft, part L5=3=63, the 32, 30 and 28t gears for the middle shaft, parts L5=3=73, L5-3-72 and L5-3-71. Finally the 16t gear on the top shaft, L5-3-6. If anyone can help with parts, or a complete gearbox then please let me know. I believe these parts are common to the Norton box on all L5, and also the later square head 11inch and 140. Regards Fergie.
