Actually, I didn't even check to see if Harbor Freight had a wrench like this. I made it to fit the top of the CXA Aloris toolpost and
also fit the 7/8 nut on the Monarch lathe. It was made of two scrap 3/8 thick pieces of steel found in the scrap bin as well as a
piece of 1/4 inch thick strap material. The ends were made separately and welded on to the 1/4 inch thick strap piece.
I used the digital readout to mark the corners of the larger hex and roughly milled out the shape. The fine tuning was done with a file.
After a bit of welding using some 3/32 7018 rod and some grinding and filing, it was taking shape.
It's a sunny but cold morning(still 10 below zero F.) and after six inches of snow I elected to spend some time in the shop
rather than fight the elements and remove snow from the road. It can wait several days til it warms up.Here it is parked on the tool post.
And here is the other end affixed to the compound nut.
I included this photo to show that the ends are thicker than the handle part in the middle.
