Rexroad 003.JPGRexroad 004.JPGThis is a bronze infill plane that I just completed, along with the center design- my work is all hand done, and mostly hand drawn. I'm looking to do more projects on my metal lathe, to have more variety of projects to engrave!

Very attractive work. You have a good hand, and a good eye for design.

Cloudy,I like the bronze plane better that the cast iron one. You did the scroll work better, though perhaps a little deeply cut. Your work is improving with practice. The ship isn't as bold as the scroll work,so it doesn't stand out as much. Engraving needs to have the same visual impact every where.

I hope you don't mind a little constructive criticism.
I appreciate your support of my work.

Keep at it. I have one of those LN miter planes, but mine is cast iron.

That is beautiful. You just have way too much time on your hands to be able to do that kind of work.

Beautiful job.

Too much time on is hands? Maybe he doesn't spend his free time watching television. Maybe he's retired like me.

Regardless, doing something creative and lasting is better than wasting time.

I think Steve was just offering that as a friendly jest as there is no way that could be considered time wasted.
