I had some time today so I thought I would grind some cutters, since it's been awhile since I did that from blanks, always just sharpened some old ones. First try turned out good, but could use a little tweeking, so I played with the grinder a little at a time until I got a smooth finish on some 3/8" round. I also played with the height of tool too until I was happy with it. The finish was almost like glass, that made me very happy since I have not cut blanks for a very long time freehand. It's finally all coming back to me, just like riding a bike. Just a little trail and error works every time.
