Don't discount the classic book "The Machinists Handbook". It's been in print for something on the order of 100 years and has all the info you need for most everything. My copy is downstairs at the moment but I do believe it's about 2000+ pages. It's available in many forms (e-reader etc) and older copies within the last few versions are totally acceptable.
