it's cracked with damage.

It amazes me that people list things for sale without providing BASIC information, like dimensions.

-- you mean he has to pay you 15$ to take it away?. It's best use is a garden ornament. Not a surface plate any more. A brand new mitutoyo 18X24" AA grade plate is less than 700$, certified and ready to go...
 
Come on fellas. That's a great conversation piece.
Gluing the corner damage on is a joke.
I'd knock the bits off and use an angle grinder to smooth the damaged area.

On second look, the seller didn't include a dollar sign. 1500 what?

If it's 48" square by 24" thick, it weighs on the order of 6000 pounds. Never mind. It has lost it's charm
