Hey, any suggestions? I've got a bunch of cast acrylic to bore and ream, and I'd like some suggestions. Lard?

I have no idea, but Simple Green. Less mess. Maybe a bar of soap on your cutter. 286953

A customer used vaseline, and was able to make glass clear parts with tapped threads visible inside the plastic.
Look for liquid vaseline.

Cutting acrylic usually leads to micro-cracks in the cut surface. Oils or solvents entering those cracks can cause localizsd swelling with extends the crack and ultimately leads to crazing. I would use a soap or detergent solution as a coolant/lubricant.

I use cutting wax and slower speed and feed.
Light passes. Acrylic tends to melt and bur easily. I’ve also had success cutting acrylic dry.

I've tried WD40 since it was to hand and I forgot I was turning acrylic. Will use dish detergent next time; a drop of Dawn leaves it fresh and clean, too.

Similar experience - after making a mess of a (thankfully not visible) acrylic part, I picked up a bottle of Dawn for the shop.

As stated above , liquid hand soap used to work great . As a former Unilever employee , I can't recommend Dawn ! JK , Dawn is the best out there .
