what oil to use in a pm-1022v , will 75W90 work ?
sent message to PM , they sent me a email today saying 75w90 will work . I down loaded the new manual , and I agree , its better than the factory oneI see that there is a nice manual for the 1022/1030 available to down load from the QMT site now that wasn't there a week or so ago. Looks like 70w80 is what is called for. http://www.precisionmatthews.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/PM-1030V-2-9-2018-V1-web.pdf. Looks like a decent manual to me.
thanks, I can get 75w90 at auto parts store , that's why I want to use it . I try to support local businessI'm using Mobil DTE Heavy Medium in my 1127 gearbox as it was recommended all over the place. With that as a comparison, I would say 75W90 is too thick/viscous.

If you are using 75w90, be careful it does not say EP or extreme pressure on the label. If so, and if you have brass in the gearbox, the sulfur in the oil will attack any yellow metals.thanks, I can get 75w90 at auto parts store , that's why I want to use it . I try to support local business
