We had one we used for our chipper blades and other 12 inch blades. On our big machine they were babbited in place so we had to hand sharpen them when they got dull. What a PITA to hand sharpen 6 eighteen inch blades.

From what I can find online it is a scissor sharpener. I was thinking it might be good for small drill bits and end mills. Havent found any manuals for it, anybody have one?

I got a small grinder like that on CL for $5. I figured I would use it exclusively for sharpening tungsten electrodes for TIG welding, but Harbor Freight has a small diamond wheel for $10 that also works well for touching up and grinding carbide cutting tools.

Although the close-up photo makes the grinder look big, it is the same size or smaller than yours. It takes 5" wheels. The diamond wheel works equally well on carbide or tungsten. I use the left side of the diamond wheel for tungsten and the right side of it for carbide. I may end up taking the gray carborundum wheel off the other side and using two diamond wheels.

Yes, I have one and it looks just like yours. Had it forever but never used it. I also believe it’s for sharpening scissors. Maybe even have the manual? Don’t think it would be a good choice for drill bits and end mills though...make me wrong. Don’t have scissors to sharpen, but hanging on to it, like everything else I got!
