Ganesh 1340 metal lathe - $1,800 (Reno, nv)

Ganesh sounds like an India made lathe but it looks like Chinese
Lot of stuff for 1800, might be a decent lathe under all the grime
 
I came here looking for the same info. 3 phase is what's ultimately keeping me from checking it out, though.

Why? VFD is a pretty easy solution for that.

First off, welcome to the forum!

Secondly, I'd agree with @jwmelvin about the ease with which you can get 3 phase power (and control motor speed) with a variable frequency drive. I've converted three machine tool to 3 phase myself. The drives are pretty affordable nowadays. And you can find lots of good installation and setup advice elsewhere on this forum.
