I'm curious if anyone can confirm the standard drawbar length for a Lagun FT? is ~26.5 in? I have to tilt the head of my machine to pull the draw bar out and I'm in need of installing / acquiring a right angle attachment for a project. I can find 26.5 and 29.5 in draw bars for a Lagun mill, but just curious if anyone has a one they can easily pull out of their head to measure the overall length or been through this before? TIA. I notice some right angle attachments come with a drawbar extension to be able to tighten up when the quill is lowered, so a longer drawbar may not be needed after all....saves the time of tramming everything back in too :)

You don't necessarily need a longer draw bar. The Tos FNk 25 for example has a 19mm to 3/4" hex on the end of the draw bar. So I simply use a ratchet with a long extension to a 3/4 socket down through the tope of the head. When the quill is expended. Even takes the small hammer blow to knock the taper. And now I hear all the mechanics cry that you should never hammer a socket extension. Though it works for the light tap.

Thanks Alex, your information was useful. I found a right angle attachment that worked out well for the task.
