Forward/Reverse Switch Stuck Or Jammed on Jet BD-920W

Hello folks! Hopefully someone can help me here. I'm trying to reverse my spindle direction on my lathe but the F/R switch will not move in any direction. Maybe there is a special procedure for getting it to move?

I have looked through the owners manual and it makes no reference to any special methods to adjust this switch. Obviously I have the machine OFF, and the tension relieved from the belt drive. Regardless, I cannot get the switch to move.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
 
Was it working before and then jammed? You didn't say. Disassembly needed here most likely

Take the cover off , after you unplug or pull the breaker. There must be something caught or broken and jammed up in the switch. Or the swivel got dry on top or bottom. Need pictures to see .
