Forklift Mast

I went fishing in my basement yesterday with the crane and hook, and look what I caught...a 1200 lb forklift mast. This was going to be mounted against a wall to raise and lower stuff for the shop in the basement.

Then NAFTA kicked in and killed my plans, thanks Bill Clinton !!! :whiteflag:
Now i'm looking at scrapping it, but the price of steel dropped 50% because the Chinese hacked into US Steel and stole the processes to make steel at half the price of what it used to cost them, Thanks Al Gore. :jester:

Can you hear that "GIANT SUCKING SOUND" that Ross Perot was predicting back in the late 80s early 90s when he was running for president. If you can't hear it, it's probably because you've just grown accustomed to the sound or you were born after the job sucking began. NAFTA only benefited those that had the deep pockets to invest into those cheap countries. Everybody else took it where the sun don't shine... with no lube, I might add!

Salaries haven't really grown at all since the mid 90s in this country and forget about keeping up with inflation. These are the cards that we've been dealt. This is a far different country than it was even 20yrs ago when the BS started. 30 yrs ago a man that didn't mind working hard could make a very good living for himself in just about any area of his choice. Those days, unfortunately are gone. That's enough doom and gloom from me for one day.
I try not to think about it.

It could be worse....At least they're not rounding us up and throwing us in concentration camps yet.....YAY!:whistle:

I really don't understand why your not going to use it anyway. I know that I would if I needed it but then I don't follow rules very well.
