There really isn't a section for this & if considered inappropriate I don't mind if it's removed.
This is repurposed from a old rifle scope to something I thought was useful. Well something I wanted. I'm teaching my 5 year old son to shoot & would like some video. I really want to video a deer if he takes one being his first year.
There isn't a bunch of machining but I'll list what I did.
I used a #10 24tpi screw as a post to keep the camera from swiveling in the base & the mounting screw is a 1/4 20. The end of the #10 was turned to skim just enough off for it to set into the hole of the camera. I also turned the head down so I didn't have to remove as much from the work piece & staying farther away from the dovetails. I then made my measurements to find where the centre of the holes would be. The one for the pin was centered in a rail which was drilled & taped. The other ended up on the side of a rail so I used the endmill to cut that hole since a drill would have been pushed. After that hole I flipped the work to counter bore for the screw heads.
I hope you enjoy.
