We do a yearly outing to the local Amish school fund raising auction-------they sell everything from dogs to flowers. Most years I am ready to leave 20 minutes after we get there. Today was 8 hours waiting on this saw---- I would guess a local factory donated it for safety reasons.

Already did that----a 3 inch solid piece of round steel----- she walked right through it. First job is going to be fixing the drip pan. It even has a coolant pump.
I wish we would of had the camera with us at the auction---- you should of seem the 5 guys load the saw into the van.

Just the right size for pens:lmao:

I happen to have a "pen Makers" band saw I would trade you even up for that old boat anchor, just because I like you

Is that a Dake-Johnson? Reminds me of one I used to run.

If you primp it you gotta give it a name and a place to sleep...What a great saw, bet the Amish guys didnt even have electricity to hook it too. Short story, I delivered a load of Cabinet Grade Cherry wood to an address in Illinois, met the Amish guy and followed him in his Buggy with my Semi. They hand unloaded the entire truck all 51,000 pounds in less than 15 minutes. Stacked it all perfectly, folded the tarps and swept off the deck. I stayed the night in a bunk house of theirs and it was all tongue and groove and peg construction. Absolutely beautifull and solid as steel. Simply amazing and quite humbling what can be done with determination and hard work. Gotta love them folks, I know I admire and respect em.

You sure could see the effects of the economy---- They do a big Handmade quilt sale during this event. They had very few big bidders.
I may be selling the saw after I get her cleaned up--- I am really wanting a power Hacksaw.

Super nice......Did it come with the motor on it that is in the first picture? It looks brand new, mind if I ask what the winning bid was?

I spent some time today doing a fast clean-up and she is now listed on ebay---starting price $750.00.
Here's a pic of the motor----it's like new.
