Follow Rest

So this guy has a older follow rest for an unknown machine, possibly a Southbend and wants $125 and I pay shipping. It ain't no cherry but it might be the only one in captivity. I made an offer of $100 and he ship and he turned it down. He says it's for a 15" lathe...mine is a 14.5" and I requested some accurate measurements but all I got back was "No"...obviously not a motivated seller, but his is the closest I found that might work on my machine...What do you guys think...leave it alone of pursue this little pig...lol

Look up follow rest by Frank Ford .
He made a nice one that fits a qctp.
He is very talented check him out.

$130... doesn't know what it fits... missing all the parts...

Nope... not worth anywhere near that to me. But that's just my opinion.

It does not greatly resemble any SB follow rests that I have seen a "pig in a poke". A high price for incomplete item that is not identified. It would not be difficult to fabricate one to a similar design.
