Fixing a Sawzall Blade Collar

I picked up a nice Sawzall cheap today. The problem is that the collar mechanism is frozen up. I can't seem to find a repair manual. The collar seems to be stuck in the open position. The collar won't twist in either direction. Is there and easy fix or some kind of repair kit?

Randy,

I assume you're talking Milwaukee. Nothing to lose, try pointing the blade end down and running it for a while. There might be a bit of swarf stuck in it. Great blade chucks, but I guess anything can have a weakness.

Go to http://www.milwaukeetool.com/parts-service/download-manuals and type in the model number of your saw. You should find what you need.

Thanks Guys,
I removed the ring and got the front cam off. The pin is frozen in the hole and now sitting in Kroil. When I get the rest of the collar off, I will pick up one of those collar kits.
