Congrats. Keep working on them and try various sizes and pitches. Once you have started to get comfortable try left hand and internal threads.

Yes, it feels pretty great when you cut your first one perfectly and don't close the nut at the wrong time and cut a double thread.

I cut my first threads about a month ago with a cutter I ground my self. The wife thought I was nuts, when I showed her my pride and joy. Probably didn't help I was like a kid at Christmas that got the gift they never thought they would get. Congrats these little milestones give confidence to try more things. Some times the learning curve seems more like a learning cliff, but knowing you can come here for help sure is a confidence builder. :thumbsup:
