Felt wipers?

So I recently got a Hardinge dv-59 no wipers the one side needs re machined and scraped and I don’t want that to happen to the rest so what felt will work?

A hard white felt is good, look in McMaster Carr catalog.

I use F5 felt but people have their own preferences for grades. I buy it in rolls from Zoro now cause it comes in the width I need & I just cut to length. I used to buy sheets from Mcmaster but that required more time cutting & Zoro is cheaper.

If you plan on using flood coolant it's better to go with rubber wipers.

darkzero, I have some F5 felt (wool) that I intend to use for my wipers. Got it from Grainger at an excellent price. Anyway, what are you referring to when you say "grades"? Where does F5 fall on that scale?
