[Newbie] FAP TURN

I've got a late model Hitachi Seiki HT-25 turning center in the garage. I'm more of a mill guy. Haas, Fadal, Fagor........ So yay. Every day I fire this machine up and switch it from FAP TURN to standard and ask myself. Man would this actually ease programming? I don't have any books on this. And my last search was 2+ years ago. Learned how to do the basics with this machine by watching videos from Sunpo.
So anyone have any new easily accessible info on this?
