Have a set of South Bend R-8 EOC-25 collets and am looking for some collet blocks.
I see numerous references for ER-25 blocks but none specific to EOC-25. Are they one in the same?
Thanks

Did some internet sleuthing and found that EOC-25 and ER-25 are two distinct standards. Other than both being collets they don't share any common dimensions.
Back to searching for some collet blocks now :D

I'd never heard of EOC-25 collets, so thanks for asking the question.

I believe this is also referred to as OZ-25 (please correct me if I’m wrong). I have an imperial set with an NMTB40 chuck, works great.

I struggle with the idea of having just one size collet (or one type of collet) - there are so many applications. Sometimes one needs a bigger collet to hold an item (whether the part or the tool), some times you need a smaller diameter tool holder to get in close to some other feature or provide access to direct coolant into an area. I have standardized on ADS, ER16, 20, 25, 32, TG100, 5C, OZ25, SK40, U2, PrattB multisize - okay sort of crazy with different machine types that often drive needing another collet system, but I can hold about anything and get in pretty tight locations. Mostly I’ve been acquiring as needed and opportunities present (i.e. cheap - the OZ25 setup was free), but at it for quite a few years - so additional systems keep arriving.

The point being that it depends on what you are doing and will likely find a smaller size, medium size and a larger size to be very useful (perhaps ER16, 25, & 40 - depending on specific circumstances).

Evidently they go by many names
From the Klein web page
EOC25 (also known as SYOZ25 / RDO35 / OZ25 / ORT25 / DIN6388 / ISO 10897 B) tool holders.
Get the impression that standard is more popular in Europe than the US.

Unlike @Chipper5783 I am pretty new to this game. But it does look like I'll be purchasing some more collets in another standard soon
