I remeber reading somewhere where an individual ordered the live center kit and it was made for use on wood only. Then they charged him a restock fee, needless to say he was under impressed with the whole transaction. Just be carefull and make sure that it says for metal so you dont run into that issue too. I think I read that on the 7X site at Yahoo Groups if I remember correctly. Good luck.

What taper do you need. I have a new lathe and my old set wont fit it. It is a Morse Taper 2 with 7 interchangeable tips. Also a MT 2 to MT3 adapter. Very little use in perfect condition. I dont know the brand name. All stores in a green plastic case.

I have a southbend with #3 and a Leblond with a #4. I liked the Enco because it has the one with the flat knurl, it comes in handy when you hot a piece with out a center in it. joefroooo if you can find a brand and a price i might be interested. The centers are propotional to there size, using a #3 on #4 isn't to bad but using #2 on a #4 might be small, but shoot me some info .Thanks Dave

Endmill, There is no name on the center. Bought through MSC about 3 years ago. Here is the model # that is on the tag on the box. 00095026 and a link to there listing. It shows as Interstate. Im sure it is imported. Looks just like the picture in MSC list. The price will be right since it is surplus to me. Pm me your email and ill send you a picture and price.
