i am 56 and am on disability now. had a 5 way bypass nov 11, i own (2) 3 in 1 machines. one is a enco and the other is a emcomat 7l. the 7l i got from a friend real cheep and it needs a lot of repairs and all the parts did not come with it. I will need help getting sizes and info on what i need to do to get it up and running to my satisfaction. not going to worry about getting it factory rebuilt. i have already made a few changes that seem to work. the belt to the lathe was broke when i got it and the only place i could find to order one was $42 and i didnt want to spend that much on a belt and didnt want to wait so i went to local hardware store and bought 2 small v belts, machined 2 new pulleys and replaced the the old. only had high speeds, low speed would just jog so i took switch apart and got it to working. mill speed would only go into 2 of the 4 speeds so i had to go into gearbox. the shift lever was in pieces so i superglued it together to get sizes. original was pot metal and replacement is now steel. i will need to make a reverse lever and gears and parts to go on it as these did not come with the machine. no change gears either. i have seen pictures of the lever and know how it works but will have to figure out sizes and locations to mount it all. i enjoy readiung and looking at info on machines and projects on this and other sites like this. does any one on here have a 7l and if so could you help me in any way. feel free to offer any advice as to any cheep mods as i am now on a fixed income and it aint much. hopefully enough to live on as all we have now i ssd. material and access to shop and tooling should not be a problem as long as my ex bosses dont mind helping. traced reverse lever and mounting parts is the fist thing i will need. as far as i can tell change gears are module 1. 20 degrees. i think gears going on lever are (2) 22 teeth,(1) 20 teeth and (1) 35 teeth. if this can be verified it will help also. if i cant verify this i will just have to wing it and guess at every thing
