What does he mean he lost his startup archi6? I can only assume...

Sounds like he buggered his boot archive/bootloader, and possibly whatever local storage (disk/nvram, etc) it was loaded on, and cannot start the controller that runs the mill. Like you though, I can only assume. Perhaps it's a question for a cnc forum

Been awhile , but all CNCs upon start up ran a diagnostics program and loaded all OEM parameters . We had paper copies as well as disc copies . I'm sure things have changed since 99 but yes , it sounds like he lost this information . The auction up in Harrisburg last week most likely had what he needed .
