I have a old Ellis 100H saw than needs a little TLC.
Ebay has all kinds of bearings listed. Some are made offshore.
Has anyone used the China made bearings, if so how have they preformed?

Thanks for the help.

Chinese bearings are a crap shoot, with some OK and some useless. Price and claims do not equal getting a good product. Do yourself a favor and pony up for Japanese or USA made bearings for anything you care about.

some of the chinese bearings are really poor quality.
if you get (minimum) ABEC 3 tolerance bearings, you will be just fine. no matter who makes them.

i have used Chinese bearings in different capacities.
in my experience the Chinese bearings have shortened life expectancies, in comparison to a Japanese or German or USA made counterpart in the same grade.

if you make a paycheck from the unit, go German

if you wanna just make it work for a while go ABEC3 Chinese
Shuster is a brand that has served me well in low impact applications

Stick to the major manufactures , SKF, FAG, Timken It's worth a little extra price

Bearings prices are all over the place from under $1.00 off shore to up to 46.00 each for name brand at the local auto parts store.
