DRO on a Zay7045 milling machine

Hi. Has anyone installed a DRO and a power feed on the Zay7045 milling machine X axis. I do not want to put the DRO scales on the back of the table unless I really have to. I believe the RF45 has the same table. I can mount it on front of the table but then I have to remove the power feed stops. If it has been done, please give me an idea of how to do it. Maybe I can manufacture some kind of bracket?

Not sure why you want to mount the scale on the front? I would be much more out of the way in the back.

Thanks Eddy. You sure helped a lot. I was worried that I would lose too much movement on the Y-axis. I have now decided to mount the scale to the back of the table. Your advice is really appreciated.
