I’ve had the Drill Doctor 750 for years and it works great. I only use it on ¼” and smaller. Still easier to free hand the larger bits.
Can’t see for the smaller ones anymore! (must be getting old!)

Now the question?
What grit wheel came stock with the Model #750? 100 Grit or 180 Grit?
How do you remove the wheel? Small gear puller?
Need to order spare wheel.

Hope to sharpen all of my old bits while I wait on 2 new knee’s to heal.

Depends on how old yours is. But they used to have a "quick change knob" on the end of the grinding drum that you turned counter clockwise. If you already haven't done so, you can take it off and reverse it to expose the other "new" end.

The 750x comes with 100 grit. Yes reverse yours if you have not already.

Mine has 2 Phillips head screws and a sheet metal plate.
I’ve removed the screws and plate and then pried on it with 2 screw drivers but I’m thinking gear puller.
Think I will order a spare and wait till it is shot before I get too rough with it.
Thanks

Be careful when changing the grit on the plastic cylinder. If you apply too much force on it, the plastic will slip on its shaft and change the geometry of the set up.

Sorry if this is too late, but here are the current model manuals:

You could check out the website or give them a call also.

I had the original 750. I've sharpened some fine drills with it, and I've been disappointed in my results occasionally. It seems like my relief angle was my biggest problem.

A couple of months ago I saw the XP model. They changed about everything including the chuck. I bought one and so far, I like it a lot. The relief angle seems consistent and it does a wide range of drills. There is a 1/2 to 3/4 chuck available, but I haven't bought one yet.

It says it will do down to 1/8 drills. I usually don't bother with drills that small and cheap, but I had to try. I was impressed. I got two shavings when I chucked the little guy in the lathe.

Just my experience.
