Trying to get back to normal after battling cancer since May '22.
Or as they say in post cancer parlance, 'the new normal', which sucks.
Stage III or IV Throat Cancer. All the doctors never did quite settle on which stage it was.
Thankfully, it didn't spread, so I assume stage III.
The damn tumor was the size of a baseball by the time they were able to cut it out.
Latest scans show no sign of any cancer.
Now all I have to do is make it to the Five Year mark.
My heartfelt thanks go out to @ulmadoc for sending me a fantastic GEST vacuum pump that a friend helped me convert to a suction machine.
(Medical device manufacturers sure make some real junk. -Just Sayin'.)
It is a daily part of my life and it makes one thing easier for sure, thank you again Mike.
I stopped doing pretty much anything. I was laid up until mid '23, but even then I was sleeping more than I was awake. I lost days where I'd go (36) hours and wake up not knowing what day it was.
I still don't have much stamina or strength, but I have good days, and some not so good days.
I had stopped watching my favorites on YT and quit reading posts here because I wanted so damn bad to get out in the shop.
Anything shop related bummed me out.
Time to get back to it. Wait until y'all see what we've scored in the last year and a half.
I say 'we' cause my Better-Half picked up most of it for me.
(PSA: when on extreme pain medication, stay off of on-line auctions.)
