Hello all,
I'm new to the group. I have a 21-100 made in about 1960. It's been sitting out in the weather and was rained on before I rescued it. I took the head assembly off from the quill by removing the four bolts holding it to the quill assembly. The quill moves freely up and down and the spindle spins freely. However, the spindle pulley is stuck fast. I'm thinking that the brake is stuck. I was able to remove the bearing nut #33 and lock and drove out the #22 hub for spindle pulley. Does anyone out there know how to separate the #24 pulley from the #29 pulley bearing retainer so I can expose the brake assembly? Do I need to press the pulley off or should it just come off easily now that the hub is out? Thanks in advance.
