Hi all
I'm looking to pick up a diamond file to dress up my carbides or the lathe. School me on what grits I would want and what brands to stay away from.

You can get a 3 grit selection off of Amazon for a really decent price. Use the roughest to restore an angle and the finest to polish it up. The middle is used for sharpening a dulled bit and then a few swipes on the fine to polish it back up.

600 grit is good for finish, 400 grit for rough. If the rough file is to rough the finish will take to long to remove the chips on the edge of the tool.
