I have a Delta 28-540 three wheel band saw.

I searched for a manual (as so many have) and plenty of comments on the web that the 28-560 is the same so use the manual for that.

The drive belt on mine is old, black rubber and slipping. So I ordered a polyurethane for a 28-560 (without measuring).

The replacement is 26" x 1, and the original looks to be 33" x 1

Can anyone confirm that these saws are actually different and a source for the correct belt?

Update.... It's fixed.

For anyone looking for answers here's the skinny....

1) The 28-560 and 28-540 are the same machine, designation change is only to indicated market USA vs. Canada
2) These saws can operate in either fast mode for wood, or slow mode for metal, the speed change is accomplished by changing the belt and pulley.

Slow mode belt = 26"
Fast mode belt = 31" the old crappy black rubber one on mine had stretched to almost 33"

I use this saw in fast mode for wood and it requires the long belt, I ordered the correct belt from Gary at bandsaw-tire-warehouse on eBay and it appears to be great quality blue polyurethane, perfect fit and he answered all my questions.
