True. Machinable cast iron pieces that are affordable are in short supply. But add to that possible uses and it makes it even more tantalizing. I've gotten a lot of good use out of making HF cast iron near misses into good machines. It's too bad US makers abandoned the hobby market in the 50's-60's.
