I made the drawing when I photo copied the documents a guy had.
I loved talking to him.
He ran a Lucas boring mill and did many of the same jobs as some of the CNC's. Never seen him in a rush or make a bad part. He did the same job with a manual machine in the same amount of time as the CNC's.
Not every job is like th1648413499816934312008472762408.jpg1648413499816934312008472762408.jpgat but not all machinist are like him.
 
I have one of those, have never used it, one thing is that they were designed for angles that present themselves for Armstrong type tool holders which do not work well for QC tool holders, at least the back rake angle.
