Crusty old combo square supprise

I had this old nasty square that eas destin for the scrap yard. On a long shot I cleaned it withsome "Evaporust" and got a plesant suprise.
Not only did it clen up better than I thought it would It has the L.S.S co printed on the blade. Thats the L.S.Starret co!

If it hasn't been dropped or knocked out of square,that will have precision ground edges rather than the cheaper chomped edges of most framing squares sold these days. I think you might can still get a framing square with ground edges,but they will cost a lot more than usual.
 
It came from a "lot" sold by the late owners widow. He was a master electrician, so I wasent expecting a Starret tool.
I gave it a light honing and some oil, and its 10 times smoother than an square Iv ever used. I will post some pics this evening.
