Not sure because the pic is so bad but I think this is an old Van Norman cylinder head guide and seat machine. Would make an insane drill press if nothing else. I only recognized it by the head jig. looks like it’s been outside for decades with lots of rust, but FREE! Actually Chuck I was hoping you’d see this and go save it. I already have more than I need with the UniDrill and have no use for that Van Norman.
But my junkyard dogness can’t stand to see what was once a super machine tool go to scrap.
I put in the original post I’m glad it’s not close as a joke, but I know I’d go take a look if it was close and have my heart torn out that somebody would leave that machine outside to be ruined. Just so sad.
 
I have no use for the thing. There is a company in Clovis that often has ads on CL looking for old machinery that they can restore. Maybe they will grab it.
