Craftsman Lathe Differences

I have searched, but had no good results, so here I am.

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between a Craftsman lathe model No. 101.28991 serial No. 000890 and a Craftsman lathe model No. 101.28910 serial No. 104730?

Maybe there is a web site that will explain the difference.

I can't tell you off hand, but can suggest you look at the resources on VintageMachinery.com. Try:

Machine photo index

Publications (manuals, parts lists, instructions)

Look for the model numbers (or very similar ones) there. I'd also suggest the Craftsman general catalogs, but catalog numbers don't seem to match the model numbers on machine tags and manuals.
