Hello All,
**EDIT** Got it. Pulley is not bent. Wasn't sitting straight on the strange shim inside it's ID. I have a 3/4 hp capable of reverse wiring. Just need new wiring lol. pretty crusty. I'll be smooth sailing tomorrow.**
So my lathe model is 101.27430. The motor is a craftsman motor (badge pic below). I've read on this forum and elsewhere that the pulley is a 5/8 id. My motor shaft is 1/2. My pulley has a thick steel sleeve insert and home made key. The pulley though has the original part number on it (10-428). The pulley seems to be bent. Either it's bent or not riding straight on the shaft. It's causing a vibration. All that I've been through with this machine, replaced, purchased and cleaned and I still get a vibration that causes chatter in the cut.
Any help here is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
John
