Hello,
Our group shop has a #10 surface grinder that I've cleaned up and brought back to being usable. On the last test run, however, the table reversing switch came loose and dropped maybe 1/4" (I stopped the machine quickly). Without raising the table to look, how is this mounted? Is it really just held in by the shaft? There's an Allen-head set screw into the switch shaft that tries to hold the toggle, but I'm concerned about tightening that too much and breaking something. As it is, the toggle isn't what I'd call tight; needs a little bit of shim to stay on.
Any guidance on this, or on the machine itself, is appreciated. I have an original manual, but it doesn't really show enough detail here.
