Hello Stuart: check the website lathes.co.uk look under cazenueve
they show that a manual is available to purchase for 85 pounds
also it appears the factory is still in business and may have gears available if you are missing any (which I suspect)

all good part way there now, i found whole bunch vids in French, i had no idea, thanks, wrote to tony, no reply, got the manual, lots schematics NO how to or what's what, there are 10 vids set up by industrial schhol in Lyon, it is france's number one lathe, lot of excellent examples for sale there

I would suggest that you post your question here:

There are several people on that forum that own Cazeneuve lathes and may be able to help you.

Ted
thanks Ted, been asking for weeks now, various places, still trouble threading uneven threads, missing something somewheres

the french say without half nuts you must use lead screw, which leaves me totally confused

figured ok you work from grads on spindle so you come back to same mark by just rotating chuck to your number, so you run first pass, stop, back out tool, move apron back by hand, rotate the chuck by hand, tool in strt up, chuck lead screw in , VOILA FACILE?? nah frog videos showed me there are thousands of caz machine n france
