Collet switching

Do they (who ever they are ) make an adapter to use
4C collets on a SB 9A, 1-1/2X8 spindle with a 3/4in opening.
I'm assuming the SB uses 3C collets. I got lots of 4C's

You wouldn't be able to pass the drawtube for 4c through a 3/4" spindle bore, so you're limited to something on the spindle.nose - I've only seen those.for 5c and.ER collets, but if you.wanted a project you could base it on the shop-built Sjogren that's a sticky.on the.Practical Machinist site's monarch lathe forum... Quite a piece of work, that, but it allows stock to pass through the headstock and the use of a backstop in the spindle
