Not written in stone Vince but I remember in 1953 I got a 75yr anv. FoMoCo book with a drill rig
that would drill all 24 stud flathead V8s. another words it would drill 48 holes and drills were bolted
not chucked for like a quick change; the next operation, same deal machine would tap all 48 threads.
I still got the book clearly shows these threaded / nut type drills. Makes sense time wise instead
of a dreaded chuck key, to change 48 drills, Ill bet they probably used some kind of air, box end ratchet.
