i will have to check on that currently it is plumbed into the controls cabinet and i will have to track down the wiring. Most scale encoders use RS422 logic, so probably yes. Yuriy is helpful and responsive on this board, and others have worked out the interface as well. What does the connector look like?

Here is the pinout for the Accurate scales I have. I don't know I yours are similar, but my understanding is the scales are usable. At least I hope so, because they are what I have and the reason I am building a TouchDRO!i will have to check on that currently it is plumbed into the controls cabinet and i will have to track down the wiring.
These scales will work fine with TouchDRO (once you figure out the connector "situation").Here is the pinout for the Accurate scales I have. not really but that is why it is great to have you as a resource thanks. These scales will work fine with TouchDRO (once you figure out the connector "situation").
As far as I know, "most" scales with this connector were 5V TTL quadrature. There are later model "Mini" scales (I don't recall what the model number is) that had this connector for TTL scales, and use DB-9 connector for 1Vpp scales.
There are some Anilam scales (Acu-Rite bought that division at some point) that have a similar connector, but are not compatible. I have two Anilam "System A" scales that output 1Vpp sine/cosine.
Basically, since Acu-Rite bough stuff, and then got bought themselves by Heidenhein, there is a huge mess of scales with Acu-Rite branding made by several different subsidiaries.
Hope this makes sense

Yuriy
