I have a board I purchased several years ago for the I-gaging scales... in the process of moving, I broke the USB power connector loose from the board (yeah- I was an idiot and didn't put strain relief on the cable before it entered the enclosure). Local computer shop quoted $250 which I think is insane (and if it is reasonable, I'll just go back to the i-gaging displays and ditch the bluetooth).

Anyone have a suggestion on who I might contact for repair?

Another example of Yuriy's great support..

Dang, I should fire up my Pace soldering station and get in on that $$$ I knew a guy who worked at a place like this doing warranty work on electronics. It went belly up about 5 years ago.

For a broken USB port look for a place that advertises Cell Phone Repair. It should be a very easy fix for them... but who knows how much they will try to gouge you... like the computer place.

Replacing micro USB ports on cell phones is a very common repair.

If you would be willing to ship it out, find the coordinates of his shop in the Virgin Islands and send it there. Look up "Learn Electronics Repair" (LER) on YouTube. He is in a Spanish area of the Virgin Islands, but as he is originally from England, language will not be a problem. Try to come up with as many pictures of your unit, and as much documentation as is available to save him the time and trouble of his looking for information himself. He is as good as they come - and totally fair in pricing. Another outfit is Frankco up in the New England area. Frankco is good but you will be paying US prices.
