Thank you for this. I have a BV20B-L, which no one here (Western Australia) seems to know anything about. I'm currently fixing things as I go but it is not a bad lathe at all. Does what I need anyhow.

If I have any more questions, do you mind if I ask you?

That looks like the Jet 9x20 lathe I used to have, not bad, but not that great of a lathe. There are a lot of upgrades you might find useful. Not knowing what you have done so far, upgrade the compound to a solid plinth, that will make a huge difference.

Take a look at www.bedair.org, he has done a bunch of upgrades to the lathe that you might find useful.
