All the buttstock monopods I've seen are designed to attach to quick-disconnect sling studs. I've seen none that are designed to attach to Mauser military sling bows. This one I just finished and have not been able to range test it yet. I expect it'll improve shooting off the bench greatly.

The black part is 1.5" delrin.

I finished the knurled brass locking ring after I shot this photo. The monopod is adjustable for height. I may have to fine tune the height but I have leeway to do that.

Hi Dutch,
Nice work!!

I have wanted a Sweede for a long time.
i passed one up at a gunshow a few moons ago that i shouldn't have passed up.
i've been kicking myself since i walked away from the table :banghead:

there was a table of 50 or so mausers, weatherby's, garand's, arisaka's- you name it, it was probably there.
he died, his son was selling the collection contents at the GS.
he had a price that was ridiculous penciled in on the price tag.
i offered more than fair value for the rifle just because i really liked it and wanted to fill a slot in my collection.
he at first got offended at my generous offer and turned his back on me and started to walk away.
i did the same except i wasn't yet offended. he came back with a price that offended me because it was only 150 less than the ridiculous price he originally penciled in. You'd thought King Gustav himself carried or blessed the 6.5!!!
i kept walking .
i could have had it if i wanted to play games for an hour, but i don't like doing business like that.
but i kick myself daily

I like your idea for the monopod!!
great work!
mike:))

I think your monopod is a thing of beauty! Very nicely machined, nicely executed design. Will you be finishing and staining the wood to sort of match the stock? It would look like some kind of issue accessory!
