Bull gear repair without brazing/welding

Pretty cool way you did the fix looks like it will hold.

That looks like it was an "easy" fix. Do you have any photos showing your "auxillary" table that you did the machine work from on the gear. Thanks

For the drilling, I used a 1/2 plate fixed to the cross slide with a button, like on the bottom of the compound. The "temporary" 7/8" thick oak arbor holder worked surprisingly well but you need a very tight fit.

For milling, I used a 1/4 or 3/8" plate fixed to the compound t-slot, tool holder is an a 1" piece of steel with a slot and tapped with 2 socket head screws.

Angle grinder is attached to 3/4" board, clamped in 3 places and attached to the compound t-slot.

Everything was shimmed up to centerline.

Keep in mind this was all VERY makeshift for light duty cutting ONLY.
