Bridgeport M Head Bearing Removal From Quill

I have the quill out of my 1948 B'Port M head waiting a bearing replacement. How do I remove the bearings from the quill? Are they a press fit? Please note, this is an M head, not a common J or 2J head. M heads are older, smaller, and lighter heads. Completely different than a J.
